Qwel & Maker - The Harvest

What do yous good folks think of the new Qwel disc? Unfortunately, I've only heard the radio sampler which includes the tracks "The 'IT' in 'Keeping it Real'" "Broken Wing" "The Siren of Liberty Island" "Chicago '66" and "Ruby Ragdollenne" and a few instrumental remixes. The stuff I've heard is pretty incredible.

Any thoughts?

Yes indeed my friend, I own it. Although, I haven't really been listening to it that much. Frankly, hiphop bores me nowadays. Qwel is one of the lyricists I still admire though, one of the few good guys left, along with the Rhymesayers group in Minneapolis (www.rhymesayers.com) and a few others. But my friend told me he loved it and I'm pretty sure I will too. His other two albums were great and this time Maker handles the production (which is more boom-bap than some weird Anticon bullshit).

Take care,

Jacob.
