i like keane i think they're alright bedshaped is a fuckin top tune and somewhere only we know is nice. It's not the stuff i'd get a party started with or have blasting outta me car but it's a nice change in scene, from straight Rock n' Roll

I bought the CD and it isn't too bad overall. They definitely need to dig a little deeper than they have been. There weren't any tracks on the album that totally bombed in my opinion but I heard far too many similarities. I'll admit I haven't fully digested the album yet but almost every song sounds like an ode to "Clocks". Unless they want to be pigeon-holed like Muse they need to flex some creative muscles in the future.

I don't really know if they are "new" or "fresh" "original, deep" etc, but I really really enjoyed their performance of "Somewhere only we know" on CONAN the other night. Tom has a WONDERFUL voice in my opinion. The melody and the text are both nice. Nice love song. I can't get it out of my head.
I listened to some of their other stuff, but I didn't like it near as much as "Somwhere only we know". I would go hear them live though.

For those interested, here's a few Keane videos from winamp.com:

I'm not too crazy about thier videos personally. They look strange like it's just them in front of a blue screen the whole time.

All these Radiohead clone bands are horrible. I wouldn't mind hearing some decent Radiohead clone bands for a change.
Actually, the only decent Radiohead cloneband that I've heard are the Doves.

I wouldn't call Coldplay,Keane,Muse,Travis etc ''Radiohead clone bands''. Saying such things would be an insult to Radiohead's genius. And also a clone has to be a direct copy, which means they would be equally as talented as Radiohead.
Niether of these bands are.
