I used to chat with him online though a common site that we shared our music on! "Mp3.com" He wasn't a star yet but I thought his music was very good at the time. Sure enough he made it. It's mostly accoustic songs, but the lyrics are powerful and meaningful. I'd say you enjoy if that's the type of music you like.

Yeah.. Definitely a fan of John Mayer.. I saw him in concert back in july, and I must say he's A-Mazing live.. You think his album is great?? It compares in comparison to him up there on stage in front of ya.

And yes, I agree.. I think his lyrics are great.. not in the poetic.. metaphoric sense.. but in the way he's able to capture emotions.. I feel like he's taken so many feelings I've ever felt, and put them so eloquently to music.

And yes, I like John Mayer's music. It captures emotion very well, and to me, it conforms to my present state, rather than force me into the song's mood. If I am happy, the song is happy with me. If I am sad, the song sings me a soft ballad of sorrow. It's multi-faceted, and I suppose that's what makes it great music.

I've never heard of John Mayer. Judging by the reaction his name gets here I will have to find some stuff by him when I finally finish work.

To prepare myself, what can I expect? Any influences, and close ties to other bands, sounds like?...
