Top Five most well written songs ever.

Of any genre, in your opinion, what are the best, most creativily and skilled written songs?
Post your top 5. I'll have to think of mine for a bit. If you want, even upload a link and share the masterpiece with us.

Makebelieve by Prick - I know it sounds like it would be something nasty but it is an amazing song. Well thought out and musically great (and complex if you listen closely). Plain and simple, its just well written.

23 by God Lives Underwater - Wow... just wow... Even wow cant describe the song

Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset by Modest Mouse - Another one that sounds different than the title may lead you to believe. Simply amazing. Very deep lyrically and musically.

Daisy Chain 4 Satan by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult - I dont know why but this song is amazes me. Maybe most people wont agree, but I think it takes alot for a song to amaze me especially if its as simple as this one!

How Soon Is Now by The Smiths - I dont think anyone would argue with this one.

If you havent heard any one or more of these PM me. I can make it happen Big brother might not like linking to MP3s of songs on here.

Ill do my best to not bore you all with 5 Phish songs:

1. Harry Hood- Phish. Contains one of the greatest guitar solos of all time and who doesnt feel good about Hood?

2. Guyute- Phish. This song spans many genres, from rock to classical and everything in between all in under 9 minutes. Pages piano work is brilliant and the whole song is just genius.

3. Tiny Cities Made of Ashes- Modest Mouse. Great bass work, really expiramental dark groove with some intense vocals.

4. Earth Jam - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. A really great instrumental featuring some nice Sax work and a cool jazzy feel.

5. The Beatles- A Day In the Life. What can i say, by far my favorite Beatles song.

It probably would have been more correct if i had listed 5 Phish songs, but like i said, i wont bore you all.

I just realized that you cant upload .mp3 or .wma files. But here is one that i found online, its a live version. not as crisp as the studio but none the less a great song.

Guyute

^if your a fan of piano in rock then i highly recommend this track.

The Kinks "Shangri-La"
Neil Young "Don't Let It Bring You Down"
Van Morrison "The Way Young Lovers Do"
Donovan "Hurdy Gurdy Man"
Elliott Smith "Tomorrw Tomorrow"

Here are five off the top of my head that I feel could not be improved in any way.
