Now this is interesting... I was reading in an underground music source that the bandaid Nelly wears truly has nothing to do with "his dead homey" as he claimed. He was going in for a photo shoot, and had been playing basketball the day before. A friend scratched him up, and he had to cover it. When asked about it, he threw that out as an off the cuff remark, and as he got very popular, it stuck with him along the way. Now, I can't prove anything one way or the other... but I thought it was a damn funny story, even if it wasn't true. If nothing, it was good for a chuckle.

this story seems 2 be closer to the fact.
anyway, i think that the plaster is not for honouring his dead friend, ( or maybe it has once used to be, but its not anymore) now, it is more like a trademark for him, he simiply does it 2 identify himself.

I would have to say that the bandaid is a horrible trademark for someone to have. I mean really, a bandaid?

My friends and I were joking that it would be awesome if there was a huge, hairy, smelly wart under the bandaid that he was trying to cover up.

hey guys, give him a break... what if it is really to remember a lost friend or his imprisoned brother? The I say that if that's how he wants to show his rememberence that good on him, at least that way he'll never forget. It's a bit mean to assume that he's just doing it to look good coz maybe he isn't. You never know. I always think that with these sensitive issues, it's best not to question and accept whatever the person says. It they're lying, then their dickheads, but if it's the truth, then you'd be right not to press the issue further.

I think it's alright to question why he wears that piece of plaster but I think people here should be focusing more on his music, not what he looks like.

I personally don't like his music at all...it's too comercial for me.

I too hate the way that his second album was a mere copy of his first. Why can't he have some originality?

The sad thing about his music is that it gets the dancefloor going whenever I play it when I'm DJ'ing. Apparently the female teen community does not mind the dance beats in his music.

musically speaking, i dun like him. his music is very much the same all the way thru. maybe, i'm just not good enough to see the good in him.
