I caught these guys last Saturday at Bemelman's Bar in Manhattan and man are they good. Gillespy has a style reminiscent of Nat King Cole...and the sax player just cooks. Anybody heard 'em?

WoW1 Thanks, Moonie! Yeah, I wondered the same thing---and thanks for correcting my spellin("ie""). Hey, the cat in the picture blowin' isn't the cat I saw at Bemelman's...that cat was black. And I tell ya, he was special...really special...and this Gillespie guy not only had great chops, but great presence---very rare. He pulls you into his orbit.
