Rock mid 90's to Now...

...What happened? Havent found too much satisfying since Nirvana.

Is Rock dying? Or just hitting mid life?

Thoughts and Opinions.

A hell of a lot happened...if you think Nirvana's the only thing of substance from the mid-80s to now than you must be living in a hole...

The only person I can dig these days is Sam Roberts. The guy knows how to rock.

And no matter what anyone says, that song by The Darkness rocks. Sounds like Zeppelin mixed with Queen. I have yet to buy their album though so I can't really judge the band yet...

If you'd like to read a post of about 1,000 words in length, I'd be happy to.

(( anyone who's interacted with me at any length knows this isn't an exaggeration... ))

Ah, I just realized the thread said mid-'90s to now! That makes a bit more sense.

I read mid-'80s for some reason...my vision must be going.

In any case, this will shorten the length of my forthcoming post, but quite a bit has happened.

Okay.... well Seba will tell you about Godspeed You Black Emperor!
Since Nirvana their has been plenty
Ill list a few bands....
the only band I like better than Nirvana is probably Thrice.
Thrice are a mix of punk, metal, and hardcore...very energitic music....(thrice.net)
Ryan Adams - Everywhere from alt country to soft rock...and straight up rock (ryan-adams.com)
Darkness - they are nothing new...but their is nothing else like them currently...they are interesting to listen to...
Sam Roberts - ya... he can rock...his live shows are better than CD tho...
Pearl Jam - still making good music...
Audioslave - I really like their one and only album...
Phish - tons of praise from tons of people

those are bands that have put stuff out within the past few years that are very decent....
