Anyway, back to the subject...

While Biosphere has some simply amazing releases, I didn't find this one to be what I was expecting (not a bad thing) ... most of the time it takes me a month or so to get into his recordings.

That being said, the bass on this disc is so overpowering, it's difficult sometimes to hear anything else. Sometimes I think you guys give certain artists' releases higher praise to sound elite.

Yes, we give our favorites and our pioneers higher praise than what they deserve sometimes, although someone's like of an album, may be someone's dislike of the same one. Autechre's "Confield" is a great example. Some think it is genius, while others think it's useless noise.

Confield is very dynamic altough not really ¨musical¨. Anyway it does have pieces that are somehow ¨anjoyable¨ or at least amusing.

ATOUR DE LA LUNE is the most relaxing album I know. Honestly i don´t see why some GENSEN fans have a hard time digging it, just calibrate your sound system, lay back and enjoy.

Confield is ahead of its time. it's much like Schoenburg's orchestral works. it is a modern work. there is more to the music than harmony and accessibility. its emotional and viscious nature can be compared to that of Schoenburg's III movement in his renowned orchestral work. it's more an exploration of color, timbre and as i said before, emotion.

Confield wasn't so much of a ground breaker. People like Schmickler and other experimentalist were been doing similar stuff for years.

What happened is that Autechre brought that to an audience more used to hip hopish rhythms and relaxing pads, and that was comptetelly new for them.

Anyway CONFIELD is brilliant in therms on concept and dynamic.

GRANTZ GRAF is so underrated -people barely mencion it- and I believe that is a really important album on AE discography.

AUTECHRE's ep always come with less pretentions than the full albums, that is why sometimes I like them so much -like EP7, garbage and grantz-

GRANTZ GRAF is great, very spectacular and shinny crispy sounding, a masterpiece of sound design.

...and when you watch the video for the title cut, you definitely respect it more than just the Audio itself. Sometimes, when you combine Audio with Visual, things can be explained a whole lot better.
