Beatles Song Tournament, Round 2, Groups 1-4

Voting in this round to continue until at least 8:00 PM CDT, August 21, 2004.

This time, we pick our top five from each group. Because of ties in six groups last round, there will be as few as 12 or as many as 14 in each group, so don't let that confuse you. This round, we'll reduce to five per group via a one day tiebreaker if necessary.

More comments about the results of the first round and the manner of composing this one will be posted in a separate note.

I have to agree with the Good Rev that latch group was a bitch. Of course the wording is mine and not the Rev's.

In group one, I came down to six in a hurry, and finally cut "Revolution" but not without some reservations.

The luck of the draw put the single "I Feel Fine" and it's b-side "She's A Woman" in the same group. I cut the b-side last in that group.

I had an all-McCartney group 3 when I cut "In My Life" as the last one out.

Group four was the toughest of these. I had the list down to 8 pretty quick, and had four tabbed as definite keepers. The last one in was "The Ballad Of John And Yoko".

Wow, three votes thus far? Must be several studying the choices carefully. Or something.
