What do people think of Against Me? I expect to see a lot to come of these guys and seriously believe that they will get much better in a short time. I think musically and lyrically they are a very strong band, I think politically they take a good stance and their politics don't seem to come off as a joke like other political bands that are currently out there (anti-flag). The only place that I see these guys needing imporvement is in their vocals, while they are ok I think they could easily improve their quality of music by taking out some of the screaming parts and changing them for actual singing. Don't get me wrong the screaming effect adds to the energy of the music but I think it would do much better if it were used as backup to actual singing.

So lets hear it for Against Me! the Florida band that has been said will single handedly save punk rock (I don't think one band can do this, but I read that in a local zine when they put out Reinventing Axl Rose)

I couldn't agree with you more about the vocals. Their lyrics and music are pretty solid, but the vocals are... bad. He tries screaming, and it sounds terrible.

Really now what? Is there something wrong with saying a band has room for improvement? I see no problem with saying that I like a band but think that their singer really doesn't scream that well.
This is the second post of mine that you have given some "I'm so nice" and you are being mean, what is your deal really? I can't understand why you keep being the nice kid monitor on this forum, I don't think anyone cares and if they do then they are as retarded as you. What is the point of a forum if people don't disagree (disagree being making fun and belittling others for their opinions with differ from mine). So keep it up kid I will seriously enjoy having someone to make fun of.

i personally like the vocals. their solid for low cut bands like the one im in to sound good. whenever i listen to their stuff i feel like im playing for an intimate drunk crowd of partiers again, and thats where it counts =D. the bad drunk sounding belowing is a differant twist on music, something you can hardly find anywhere. if your not a fan of the screamo, im suprised you dont like "eternal cowboy" more than "axel rose".

then again, i listen to some pretty far out stuff when it comes to being really bad (local unsigned bands and whatnot O.o)

i love against me, they're the shit. not quite too many things are "the shit" but they certainly are ^^

against me....ahh, got to love 'em. yes, i have strated to listen to a lot more punk ladies and gents. i have both albums of their's. reinventing axel rose and as the eternal cowboy. love them both. two thumbs up for this band.

Tis a shame they've gone to shit they put out a lot really good stuff. I can listen to Crime and Acoustic S/T EP all day.
