New (to me) Bands Worth a Listen!

Arch Enemy, Sirenia (IS Awesome!), Lacuna Coil (cool as hell, but atad softer), Superjoint Ritual (Phil's side project),
and Theatre of Tragedy.

I'm not saying these bands are new. But for anyone that doesn't know them, give them a shot! I especially recommend Sirenia, Lacuna Coil, and Theatre of Tragedy!

I'm not sure if they're all considered 100% metal. But they;re better than nu-metal crap!

Enjoy !

Thumbs up

I know Sirenia too! Nightwish and Tristania, they're a lot like them. Check them out if you like.

I recommend:

Blind Guardian
Chaos Opera
DARK ARMY
Rammstein
Shai Hulud <-- like Dillinger Escape Plan, but more melodic. (Thank goodness!)
and ... Iron Maiden!

Av would be very very proud, in fact, he recommended Sirenia, Nightwish, and Tristania. I heard Blind Guardian, Chaos Opera, and DARK ARMY on my own ... and I kind of got Rammstein from Thor before I knew Av liked them.

P.S. Don't download a whole lot of Chaos Opera, because the ones I've d/l'd sound very similar to each other.

Recommended:

"Nightfall" - Blind Guardian

"Endless Battle" - Chaos Opera

"Nymphomaniac Fantasia" or "Wish Master" - Nightwish

"Twisted Tower of Fire" - DARK ARMY

"Set Your Body Ablaze" - Shai Hulud

"Only The Good Die Young" or "Seventh Son of the Seventh Son" or "Ryme of the Ancient Mariner" - Iron Maiden

"Wormwood" - Tristania <--from Av!

"Valley of the Damned" - DragonForce (formerly DragonHeart) <- a lot like Iron Maiden

Tool isn't really metal ( I think ), but their music is very good.

Yeah Nightwish is awesome, I forgot about them when I posted it. lol. The others in exception of Rammstein and Iron Maiden I'll have to check out. Thanks for the recommendations. I'll mention if I find anyone else of any interest...

Captian Crunch, I mistakenly misread your signature about bassists joining your forum. I thought it said Baptists.

Captian, I wasn't trying to say that you were. I just misread it and it made me giggle.
