I may as well make this the mainstream rap I don't like thread too... and the man who takes the cake for rap/rnb artist i hate the most: Usher!

I hate that guy so much, does anyone here like him? And it's not just the guy I hate either, the music's shit too, haven't his last two songs had basically the same beat?

usher was really good, hes still not bad its just his last cd was not his finest work. Honestly though maybe its just me, but I do tend to judge mainstream the same way that I would judge underground, I dont look at them differently when making a judement, I see no reason too, its the same general formula of music. But if I'm listening to some punk or r&b of course then I will judge differently becuz those are way different then hip hop or rap. Which in turn causes me to look at different properties of the song and the artist.

and I understand that mainstream does have some good beats and yea they will get club play and air play becuz people wanna hear that music to dance to or whatever. But still the lyrics is what I'm going to be listening to, if I wanted to hear beats I would turn on some techno or trance.

Usher had some good songs in the past , but the newer stuff is just dissapointing.

I`ve never heard a good track from Fat Joe , but i only know his collabos with J.Lo etc.

I think Lil`John is a One Hit Wonder.

Now to the Mainstream Rappers that rock :

1. Definately Busta Rhymes . His first three albums really rock. And some newer stuff does too , but not everything. He has a real unique style , and doesn`t need that brainless "Gangster" habit.

2.WuTang Clan. Their old shit is just blastin`

3.Snoop. That guy is funky as hell & has some good tracks.

4.Beasty Boys. In my opinion , u can hear that its white rap But its innovative and good.

5.Missy Elliot. Really talented & innovative artist.

There are many more like Dre & Pac etc.
