List of stuff for college

Alright well college move in is less than a month away and I've got some electronics that need replacing.

First, I've decided I'm bringing my desktop P.C. but I'm going to get a new monitor. I've decided on flat screen since space is really gonna be an issue, so I'm looking for a good flat screen monitor, or atleast a good brand to look into.

Second, the speakers on my computer are shot but instead of getting new computer speakers I was wondering if there was any way I could hook them up to other speakers (i.e. stereo speakers). I'm going to have my ipod, computer and a c.d. player (maybe just the c.d. deck with no speakers) that I want to connect to the same speakers. Is there anyway I can do this?

Well those are pretty much the only two things that I really need. I'm not exactly sure how the second would work, but it doesn't seem that farfetched either, sorry if any of this is unclear and please ask questions if you don't understand something.

It depends on the stereo I guess. If you've got a hi-fi type setup where everything comes in the same box there is usually an extra set of stereo inputs (one red and one white for left and right channels) labeled "Aux" or "MD" or something. Get a cord that takes your 1/8 inch headphone thing and splits it into the red/white plug. Then you can plug anything into them
