I didn't have the money yet... after all I'm still a poor student and I had already a few other concerts on schedule for which I had to pay...

Einsterzende Neubauten
I just listened to a couple of songs. At first I was caught off gaurd by what I was hearing, but now I am very attracted to their music. So what does everyone else think of them?
p.s. This is the right place for them right, 'cause they certainly were'nt rock.

^^They're fairly well-loved around here as one of the pioneering industrial acts of the 1980s, and considered by many (( myself included )) to be the greatest industrial artist period. I presume you're listening to their earlier material, if not, definitely get your hands on Kollaps, Zeichnungen Des Patienten O.T., Halber Mensch, and Fuenf Auf Der Nach Oben Offenen Richterskala...classics...
Personally, i don't really care for their work of the 1990s/2000s, it's hardly bad, but I miss their more abrasive material.

Im not so sure if im listening to earliear stuff or not, because the mp3s i dl dont always tell me the album it is from. The songs I can remember listening to are Headcleaner and Vanidium Ching (I think). They are amazing.

Vandium Ching is from Patienten O.T., one of thier earlier albums...Headcleaner's from one of their '90s releases, so you have a selection from two eras of the band, which probably isn't a bad way to start off.

Headcleaner is from Tabula Rasa, which was pretty much the last album with their classic line-up, as FM Einheit left half-way through Ende Neu.
Thye haven't been quite as good since, but their latest album, "Perpetuum Mobile" is Neubauten back to their best, in my opinion, it's not abrasive, but I think they've finally found a new direction.
If you want a good best-of type thing, check out the double live album "9-15-2000, Brussels". The sound quality is superb, and they do some superb renditions of their material from all eras.
