Anyway, back on topic, I've been on a Merzbow kick lately. I still have to get that latest release at some point, even though he's already released like, what, 3 albums this year already?

I believe she meant that that particular rule is not followed, especially when it's one of the moderators involved. She is not exactly a fan, of the latest moderator and I am starting to loose patience with him, as well.

There has been a lot more than 3 Merzbow related recordings, which were released this year.

Elliott Sharp/Merzbow-Tranz
Sphere
Ruttus Rattus
Dust Of Dreams
Scene
Early Computer Works
Merzbuddha
Bariken
Batztoutai (2 CDs) Japanese Edition LTD 250
Merzbow/Kendell Geers-1633/The Electronic Revolution (12' LP/Art Object)

Live Streaming Merzbow

Well, I'm going to stay neutral since I'm not exactly sure what's going on. Although, I assume you mean his comments in the "Drunk Thread", unless I've completely missed something.

I will say that I don't think I've ever seen the person in question make fun of anyone in seriousness, but that may just be in my experience.

I've heard glowing reviews of Bariken and would like to buy that album, though I do prefer his more analogue works. And Batztoutai? A re-release, no?

I recall he released 13 or 14 full-length ALBUMS in 1996!

I prefer his analogue as well, but Bariken is sweet.

It's the 3rd pressing of Batztoutai. I mentioned it, because it's out of print and there are only 250 of them, in this pressing.

Must get it!

Heh heh, I had a dream about Merzbow last night. In it I heard about some track by Merzbow, supposedly a great 'floorfiller'! I looked it up on this very forum and some of you lot said it dated to around 1992. Despite him making analogue Noise back then, for some reason my mind associated that period with his early '80s tape works so I decided not to investigate further... even though I love that period of his music!

EDIT: I listened last night to some of his older albums I have by him. Specifically a storming release called Spiral Honey. The first two tracks, especially 'spiral honey.b' really push his electronics to the fore. A very classy release with at least three tracks on it called '________'!
