I've heard a few pieces by Alan Lamb, I've got one on the Asphodel "Swarm of Drones" compilation, and another on a comp called "Austral Voices" (New Albion). I'd like to hear more from him.
The only Black Lung CD I've heard is The Disinformation Plague, which I liked a lot. David Thrussell also records as Soma, and Snog, both of which are good. He tends to go for anti-corporate themes, which I appreciate. Thrussel also did some remixing for Muslimgauze.

I have the box, but I didn't pay anything close to $500 for it.
I have seen Mezbow live in Japan a couple times and it was an interesting experience.
Even when I made sure to stand as far away as possible from the speakers, I still came out deaf. It took two days until I really start hearing normally again.

Figgers. I'd be scared to go see Merzbow!

yeah, I know. I have about 10 black lung recordings, 5 Soma recordings, and 5 Snog recordings, not to mention his Soundtrack work for 2 films under his own name.

you actually bought the box? What for exactly? Artistic purposes? You couldn't actually tell me you listen to it more than once a month

I picked it up for under $60 from a garage sale.
I don't think I have gotten around to listening to anything in it for a year at least.

$60? I'd say you got a deal!
I would say that I'm jealous, but then again I doubt that I'd feel the need to listen to 50 Merzbow albums...
