Singers with the most impressive vocal range
Which singers in your opinion have the most impressive vocal range, can hit all the right notes, really make each song refreshing and different with their voice?
Give your choices and explain their use of a range of singing styles.

Yma Sumac and Diamanda Galas, both of whom have a four-octave range and can go from downright bestial growls to heart-breakingly high shrieking. Because Yma claimed to be an Incan Princess of the lost era, her song variations aren't really variant at all (what can an Incan Princess possibly sing about besides the rainforest, rainforest creatures, sun, earth, water, Captain Planet type shit) but Diamanda Galas has explored vast genres from blues to Armenian folk to weird death-opera sound effects. And you probably need to include Bjork as some kind of forerunner to Impressive Vocal Range.
Also, there's Tiny Tim, but I guess he was just a very very strange falsetto.

He is of course the most obvious name to come to mind. No one really sings quite like him. His voice trainer said he can go far through the musical scale, hitting high octave and opera notes.

Yma Sumac has an incredible voice. Possibly a result of being raised in the Andes.

It doesn't take singing ability to rap, and I am not sure much singing skill is needed for psychotic metal? Now opera is a different story altogether.
