Interesting thing about Dave Matthews, he hangs out at the coffee shop a block down from my girlfriends house. I never knew he lived around here till I read a local interview.

My son is a big Dave fan and I've become quite fond of him myself...though I've never been particularly impressed with his vocal range(he has great style, however). He seems like an interesting character..any more personal tidbits you can share that I can pass on to my son?

Whitney Houston has great range and no style. Joe Cocker has no range and great style. I'll take style!

Well I am hoping to run into him one of these days. I am at Cafe Ladro alot, guzzling caffeine. From what I hear he is a really cool dude, laid back. Most people don't bother him much which is why he likes the neighborhood. but I heard (from the baristas) he is approachable and willing to chat with whomever as long as you don't drool all over him and you got something interesting to say.

Yeah...what he said...

But as far as vocal range goes, my vote goes to my all time favorite singer, Paul McCartney. Anyone who could do the lead vocal masters to "Yesterday" and "I'm Down" on the same day...need I say anymore?

Hmm- Mike Patton obviously, James Labrie also- and Tim Buckley- oh man tim buckley has a great voice- but purely on range- i'd say Labrie- or maybe rob halford!!
