ok guys, i'm not sure if this has been asked before or not, so sorry if you're sick of people asking the same stuff!

well basically i got my ipod and did all the playlisty stuff but when i delete playlists off the computer it deletes them off the ipod. i'm not sure whether this is meant to happen or not (sorry i'm kinda a computer dunce, hence coming here ) the thing is, i want the songs and things to stay on my ipod but be able to delete them from my computer. is this possible? and if it is, please will someone tell me how?

If you delete your playlists off your computer and then transfer your existing setup to the IPOD it will delete the playlists there as well, as you've figured out by now. I am not sure how to make modifications on your comp data and pick and choose what it will modify on the IPOD though. I just try to keep the playlists and songs identical on both IPOD and comp.

I was curious though about deleting the songs off of the comp and keeping them on the IPOD, just to save some memory.

If you plug your Ipod into your computer and then when it shows up in itunes. Right click on the ipod thing on your playlists bar and then go to ipod options. Then you go to manually manage songs and playlists. Then you should be able to delete songs off ur computer and leave them on your ipod. Hope this helps.
