Songs That Should Be More Rocking
Sometimes you will here a song which is great, but you know that i would be twice as great if only they had played the song with more sledgehammer and less adult-contemporary. Like i have always felt that an uptempo kickass version of 'show me the way' needs to be made, and dinosaur jr.'s version just don't cut it. So many songs need to be sorta 'liberated,' not necessarily that they HAVE to faster and louder, but just need that extra OOMPH to make it perfect.
Anyone else think of such songs?

I feel more could've been done to The End by The Doors. It's a good song, but it feels like it's building up to something. If they would have made the song be more orgasmic in a sense it'd be a great song.

"Sugar Sugar" by The Archies... I am totally serious... The riff in the song would be perfect for a hard guitar sound...

the live version of Radiohead's "Pact Like Sardines In A Crush Tin Box" blows away the studio version [which is still excellent] by adding a lot more "umph" by putting it at a faster tempo and adding a loud fuzz bass. its a crime that it was left off their live "I Might Be Wrong" EP

Doors for me too.
I always thought "L.A. Woman could've really rocked out before it was over but it never quite does.
Not as much as it seems like it should.
