Electronic music is that big in TN?
I don't go much for the club scene, but there there's a smattering of clubs that host electronica shows here in western Massachusetts.
Serious fans make the 90 mile trip to Boston. Snobs put up with Boston and make trips to NYC when they can. Ninety miles may sound like a long drive to some, but we get so used to it, it's no big deal!

, no Cage Fanatic, I was being sarcastic in saying that. I've done a lot of research over the years and this is how I've come to love it so much without being exposed to it in the environment that I share with others. The people here are way too closed-minded to accept such things.

up here in chicago, the support is mixed. events like the grant park wednesday
house throwdowns with the big house names is great and all. However chicago
is house land, it's everywhere, and that kills me when i go out, cuz what i want
to hear is drumNbass-jungle-breaks-idm-da weird tweeked shit.
as far as drumNbass nites are concerned, I know of one rocksteady one, the
big wig, on wednesday nites...pretty much the mainstay of the D&B scene.
as far as support, this is a city of redtape and politics to the max. As a working
musician, heavily involved with the scene, i've found that unless you get in
with the party/loft scene or know the club owners personally, you're not getting
anywhere in this town.
Positively though, chicago has one of the most vibrant music communities around.
The jazz/freejazz scene is tightly connected, along with the club/dj, punk, blues,
indie, whatever you want scene. I feel that there's so much going on up here
that bands/artists have to stick together, and that's what i'm not finding happening
so far. Guess it's just a tough city to crack. Time to man the pickax!

Glasgow (SCOTLAND) is ok for techno music. First off you have the Arches which is a top top club(carl coz rates it as best in uk) You get the worlds best DJs every month playing there you got other venues as well which can attract good DJ like kenny larkin, ben sim wan Atkins, ect but nothing can beat a night of jeff mills or dave clarcke blasting out tunes till 5am in the arches!!!
