Need examples of rap songs

I am new to rap and I just know a bit of it. I would appreciate if someone can give me some examples of rap songs. By the way, I just want to ask one questions. Ice-ice baby from Vanilla Ice (back to 90' I think) is under what category ? Pop? Rap? or? Thanks.

Vanilla Ice would be considered Pop-Rap (or garbage, depending on your point of view).

I'm fairly new to the genre as well, but I find myself enjoying Aesop Rock, Jurassic 5, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Blackalicious, Outkast, Public Enemy, etc...that should get you started...get anything by those artists...

that thread (the stick at the top) has bunches of artists and albums that radiomute users consider the best. Pretty much take any album listed up there and listen to some stuff off it. Notorious BIG and Tupac are probably two of the biggest artists ever and really all their songs are considered classics now, they'd be good places to start.

Pop-rap means some songs are pop and some songs are rap or their songs are mixture of pop and rap?
