I think I've shifted past my recent phase of listening to a lot of metal which followed the heavy free-jazz phase and am currently in a hip hop phase, probably because it's a genre that has never really been in heavy rotation for me before and I need something fresh. Of course, I listen to other things when I'm in a "phase", but my listening tends to be weighted heavily in one genre for a few months. My purchases will also be focused on building up my hip hop collection for a while.
