i think tht led zeppelin produced more hits, and really made better music. but i think black sabbath was probably the better band, when i say better i mean more skilled. with zeppelin the members needed eachother to make any good music, when they did any solo stuff it was for the most part crap. whereas sabbath went on without ozzy to make good music and ozzy went on without sabbath to make good music.

We are not judging the solo works here though. In a head to head contest it isn't close. Zeppelin can play rings around Sabbath. Having said that Sabbath is still a good band.

no, u missed my point, i think tht zeppelin was better when it came to the songs they made, but i think tht black sabbath was a more talented band, they just didn't make as good of songs.

You missed my point...I don't think Sabbath was the more talented band. They are good but not as good as Zeppelin. Zeppelin could feed off each other and improvise on a level that Sabbath wasn't capable of.

I think Zeppelin was definitely more talented, in regards to individual members.

see, i think tht zeppelin was one of those bands tht needed eachother to be good. individually they were ok, but not amazing for the most part, although i am a bohnam fan. i just think tht individually sabbath was a better band, but as wholes i prob. would go with zeppelin.

Well if you want to talk individual members, then I'll do that. Tell me who you would take:

guitar- Toni Iommi or Jimmy Page: my answer= Jimmy Page
bass- Geezer Butler or John Paul Jones: my answer= JPJ
drums- Bill Ward or John Bonham: my answer= John Bonham
singer/harmonica- Robert Plant or Ozzy: my answer= Plant (and thats only close one)

So you tell me who seems more talented, looks to me like Zep takes it by a long shot.
