I don't see anything too bad on your list except James Hetfield. He's the rythm guitarist. Did you mean Kirk Hammet?
nope i think hetfield was a better guitarist than hammet... it's like he used to say in interviews when he was asked why he chose to focus on rhythm... 'you can have the best solo in the world but it won't amount to shit if you don't have a great riff holding it up'... and it's not like hetfield couldn't play lead either he just chose not too most of the time...

So what is everybody voting on: Technical prowess, style, inovation or just personal favourites because they like the music each guitarist makes???
i went with personal favorites rather than technique and 'due' recognition... otherwise 95% of all lists would look like guitar worlds yearly list of the 'greatest guitarists ever' blah blah blah...

Yes, but that failed miserably because people like KriegerR feel the need to shit on other peoples lists without posting thier own.
