yea man, dont worry about knowing all the chords, because pick any famuous awesome guitarist and he prolly dont no all the chords, theers just too many, 9ths,7ths,diminished, augmented,minor this,minor that ya no? so the main thing is, theres no right song to learn or wrong one, just pick a few songs you like. i remember it was hard for me to pick up songs by ear and just play them without tabs in the beging because didnt no thee fretbaord that well and my ear wasnt trained to good, so its ok to get tabs in the begining just start playing , whatever learn stuff, play stuff, get to know and love the notes on a guitar baby , the rest will come naturally
