I loved the Wayne's World Parody of people who play STH in guitar stores

Me too, I was just thinking about that. Here in Texas, Lynyrd Skynyrd is the favorite choice for any occasion. and I used to like them, but hearing Sweet Home Alabama and Freebird everyday almost turned me off very fast

Because if you hear annoying little weiners playing it all the time, and you hear it over and over, it becomes annoying, making the song annoying. The End.

i was drinkin one time and i listened to it non stop for 2 hours. im not totally sick of it, but its not nearly as entertaining as the first time i heard it. i feel bad for the people that have had to hear it everyday since 1971.

It was cool to walk into a guitar store and show up when the song first came out.
It's a good song, but you're not Jimmy Page and playing doesn't show your playing talent oringinality anymore. You're a ruining a good song, stop playing Stairway to Heaven in guitar stores, join the fight... man
P.S. I once walked into a guitar store and saw a sign that said NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN and some guy got kicked out for playing it, that was cool.

The last time I was in a guitar store, I heard more playings of Jet and The Darkness songs than I ever have heard Stairway to Heaven. I would pay to hear Stairway to Heaven over that, even a poorly played version.
