Oddly enough I went from being a Metal Head to Punk Rocker as I get older. Mostly because I'd much rather listen to punk bands more than metal these days. Of course I'm not talking about most of the crap coming out today.

Age is catching up to me. I am so much more sympathetic to my father's directive to me to always use headphones cause he never wanted to hear "that crap" again. Of course he also felt that way about punk but I was out of the house by that time.

punk... I dont' really know too much about metal, and I like it, but I find that more often than not I relate to punk.

Hmm, i would say metal. Punk is ok, but metal has grooves and real legends like Van Halen and Slash. I dont like either of them that much to be honest.

Not heavily into either, but Punk, I think, is clearly better. I'd find myslef listening to punk and going to punk shows more than id buy any metal albums and such.

Edit: Older metal stuff is alright, like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, etc. I like that, but current metal like... uh.. well i only know the "MTV" metal bands like Slipknot, the current metal stuff is crap.
