Given your love of metal, ihateyou, I'm sure you've listened to some form of electronic music via industrial...if not, it'd be a good transition, I think...try some Einsturzende Neubauten, Skinny Puppy, Haujobb, etc and if you like that, I'd say go right into some Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin and µ-Ziq...

Yes, im sure you will like industrial. Youve listened to Ministry havent you? They are pioneers of industrial and industrial metal. If you like them, then the bands listed above are a great choice.
