I like both but The Cream rises to the top.

This poll is a lot closer then I expected... I really thought Hendrix and crew would roll to an easy victory... Bye the way, I ended up voting for The Jimi Hendrix Experience... But I really think Cream is a great band too...

Cream was good, but most of their material was just reworked blues songs with some great playing...the Experience had a heavy blues influence too, but they weren't a slave to it, and they added Jazz and R&B to the mix in addition to creating the most innovative heavy guitar rock up to that point...so there's really no contest for me.

Cream was good...but The Experience was great.

...force of nature...that sounds about right to me

Cream is all well and good, But Hendrix kick ass. Cream is good for a casual listen, Hendrix is for rockin' out.

Both great

Hendrix comes out on top for me, just because he is one of the most creative musicians I have heard. Clapton can still play amazing tunes but they follow a pretty linear structure, whereas Jimi goes all over the place.

For my money, the power trio of Cream was better...to me anyway.

I find Hendix somewhat overrated.

I wonder what kind of stir would be made if Cream had re-formed... It seems they sure could have cashed in on some big money... But, I'm glad they never did...

Who`s to say one is better than the other. Why can`t we enjoy both?
