words are feeble to express...
...the unparalleled greatness of the late great High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone.

I concur.
Nina Simone is queen.
Songs I seem to (unfailingly) put on repeat :
- I want a little sugar in my bowl
- My man's gone now
- Save me
- Pusherman
- House of the rising sun
- Do I move you
- Nobody's fault but mine
- My baby just cares for me (how could I not)
- Since I fell for you
First time I heard Nina, my companion said, "She's so cool she sounds like a man." I was amazed.

Didn't Nina do a version of "The Border Song?"

Not sure!
...Everytime I see "algernon" I think of Algernon Moncrieff in The Importance of Being Earnest, and then I see the penguin icon, make some kind of weird abstract association in my head then giggle maniacally. Oh dear.
