As diverse as Zorn's catalogue is, I'm still a sucker for his Jazz/Grind material... Naked City's "Torture Garden" is hard to beat...

I'm VERY fond of 'The Big Gundown' but all that 'spy vs spy' type stuff is pretty great too.
'Big Gundown' showcases his ability to take work of strong melody and character and be true to it's spirit while still wigging out. His arrangements are wonderful

The Jazz metal is very good. The Grand Guignol is my favorite zorn so far, it's basically Torture Garden with about 9 extra tracks. THe title track is amazing.

Torture Garden is pretty good. I did enjoy his collaboration with Fred Frith on The Art of Memory.
