I've heard only a song(off the relapse website) for Coalesce, which was boring enough to stop me from listening further.
Between the Buried and Me is one of those half-technical bands that are very popular with hardcore lovers. Both the s/t and Silent Circus are decent. They sound like APC on the song 'Mordecai'. Similar bands would be Ion Dissonance and Misery Signals.

You mean Burzum - "Det som engang var".

If you are not familiar with Bathory, check out "Under the sign of the black mark" & "The Return" and ,of course, Venom - "Black Metal"... There is also a thread here, "Black Metal suggestions", if you become addicted to Black Metal.

E Tu Zephyr? It was bad enough having Geryon "suggesting" something I was listening to before he was born.

My dear Lady from the High Desert, I believe you're forgetting who you're posting this to.

I am the superior prick that hipped you to this site

I am the last person that needs suggestions on Metal of any kind.

I have no problem with shitty sound per say. With all the bootlegs and old recordings I have I can live with bad sound. It's when you're made to think something is going to sound better than it turns out to be that bugs me.

You mean the ones you're suggesting that I have had since 1982 (and only 19 at the time) in Venoms case or those Mayhem recordings?

People, I was only asking about the Mayhem recordings in terms of the sound quality. Not on the music or for that matter a Metal/Black Metal 101 course.

Sorry didn't mean for that. The sarcasm I meant. Making you look like an idiot was not the goal. I was in the middle of editing when you posted your post. But after all you were making me look like I was dead and buried already.

At least tell me you were alive in 1982 so it's not as bad as Geryon with Napalm Death.

I would have helped, but figured you wouldn't be interested in hearing from someone you were burying before I was even cold.

And to top it off, you started an avalanche of people with shovels.
