Actually I'd be okay with that...what I do NOT want is another album that drags its ass for two CD's.

Time for Soulseek

Well there's nothing here that grabs me, but I'll give it a few more listens. It's clearly not as good as The Downward Spiral, but I'm not really surprised there. Most of it is listenable enough, though the song "The Hand That Feeds" is terrible. My brother tells me he's heard it at his gym, so it's probably the leadoff single. Shows what I know about today's lowest common denominator.

I've listened to a few tracks now and it seems decent, like you said not as good as the downward spiral by any means, but i'm still glad to have some new NIN. I have tickets to their concert in may too

That would be a good show. If I was still going to big arenas I'd definitely go see NIN, if for no other reason than to see if they've corrected their opening gaffe. I saw them twice for the Spiral tour, and each time they opened the set with what seemed like a 10-minute version of "Pinion" (which was fine) and then somehow went right into "Terrible Lie" (great song, 'terrible' choice). Aside from what I thought was essentially a momentum stopper, both shows were excellent. You get your money's worth, for sure.

Well don't expect anything much of that caliber on this new one...
