They are really hot and famous ,maybe you dont know there is many china famous rock bands gathering in a party to show their respects to the cure ,
they sang lot of the songs from the cure .

so i haven't really heard anyones opinion of the new album, "the end of the world" is alittle over played yes, but i think the album is pretty solid.

There are ALOT of new bands making it big on cover tunes these days. Actually the love song is the only song i like by the cure, personally i cant stand that guys voice.

i think tht there are some serious differences between doing a cover and getting famous off of a cover. thts just like ur getting famous off of someone elses hard work. thts why i'm more partial to remixes, its taking a song u like and adding ur bands sound to it, rather than stealing to sound of another band.

Personally I haven't heard "End of the World" on the radio yet. Granted, the selection of radio in this forsaken city isn't what I'd call decent, even. But I hear the 311 cover more than I'm willing to listen to it.

My favorite Cure albums are Head on the Door, Disintegration, and their new one.

Yes, their new one is really good. I don't know why a lot of people aren't liking it. I absolutely love it, and consider myself a pretty big fan. I don't think it's overdone which is a common complaint. I actually find it rather fresh. As can be taken from my little list right there above, it's up there with their prime efforts.

finally someone who agrees about the new album. all i have heard people say about it is how overplayed it is, or tht its just more of the same. but i really enjoy the new album. i really like rob smiths voice and i like the way he sings the songs. i couldn't imagine anyone else doing it.
