Syd, you said a few posts back that Pepper is beating out Smile in this poll...but this poll isn't about Smile; we've just lapsed into discussing it.

And so, continuing with the off-topic discussion...here is (according to AMG) the track order of the CD release of "SMiLE", scheduled to hit the streets on September 28:

1 Our Prayer/Gee
2 Heroes and Villains
3 Roll Plymouth Rock
4 Barnyard
5 The Old Master Painter/You Are My Sunshine
6 Cabin Essence
7 Wonderful
8 Song for Children
9 Child Is Father of the Man
10 Surf's Up
11 I'm in Great Shape/I Wanna Be Around/Workshop
12 Vega-Tables
13 On a Holiday
14 Wind Chimes
15 Mrs. O'Leary's Cow
16 In Blue Hawaii
17 Good Vibrations

I think he had the talent to create a piece as good as Pepper, but he just never did...

He almost did. It was called "SMiLE."

I really can't answer this

Sgt. Pepper's is a good album, very inovative, but it is behind Rubber Soul, White ALbum, and Abbey Road on my list of favorite Beatles albums.

Pet Sounds may be a great album, but I just haven't been able to listen to it yet. Picked up a copy when I went to England last year, and its been sitting in the case since then. I really need ti take a listen to it
