People I grew up with in Hawaii listened to the Beach Boys all the time. Still can't stand them. I have to admit they must be great since a lot of people with generally good taste like them. Maybe one day I'll get hit with an epiphany and discover what's so great about them. But having spent a good many years on the beaches of Hawaii and being forced to hear Beach Boys blaring out of someone's radio or tape player on a regular basis, I doubt it will happen while I have all my wits about me.

Hmmm.. I understand. You have too much static in your receiver. Somehow you have to get to a place where the reception is clear. There is hope, Music Director!

My brother and me at BB KING's Blues Club. The guy in the middle wearing the ugly jacket is Brian Wilson.

I wonder what Brian was thinking about during that "photo session"... Or better yet, what was our buddy Algernon thinking?

We had a breif conversation about high school football..but mostly I was trying to remain standing. Only time in my life I've been starstruck!

Well, you were standing next to one of the greatest artists of the 20th century... I think his music will hold up for centuries... So your great great great great great grandkids will break out that photo to show off during history class in high school years from now...

Sadly, my one and only experience meeting him was bad, as he seemed to have the mentality of a 8 year old boy (it was during the Landy years)... It was a real drag...
