I actually never felt either sounded "dated" as many 60's albums do...

I have voted for sgt.pepper, it is quite close between them, like most of people have said, but sgt.peppers will always be just ahead of pet sounds in my opinion

I went with Peppers. I love Pet Sounds too, I've just always felt Pepper's was more catchy. Pet Sounds sounds fantastic, and with repeated listens you'll find more hidden sounds. Pepper's grabbed me from the first listen, Pet Sounds did not. And I find I have to be in a certain mood to listen to Pet Sounds, but not for Peppers.

Going with Pet Sounds man. Tough call and anything else by the Beach Boys would never be able to stand up to the Beatles, but this one most definitely does. What a gorgeous album and goddamn, dude Wilson shows off his genius to epic proportions.

At least one person caught on to my comment.

I caught it, Satch...I just couldn't think of a perky response at the time.

I thought it was kind of cute when McCartney titled his authorized biography "Many Years From Now". If he'd waited a few more years, he could have gotten a lot more mileage out of it, though...
