DJ Vadim - London Mind State is the mellowest hip hop song I`ve heard....no violins though. Or Guru - Jazzmatazz 1 if you haven`t allready heard it (Loungin, Down The Backstreets, Sights in the City). I don`t know if violins can be used in mellow stuff, they allways seem to sqeeze the last bit of noise out of them.

I missed DJ Vadim here in Cape Town last weekend... How disappointing. Is it worth checking him out some more? I don't know much about him?

he rocks ... very intelligent hip hop ... check out following albums:

U.S.S.R.: Life From the Other Side (1999)
U.S.S.R.: The Art of Listening (2002)

the other albums are istrumental ones but also good.

I'll check it out for sure. I'd probably prefer the instrumental ones, actually. But I'll give most of it a listen eventually.
