For the men it is the Man in Black and for the women a toss up between the Coal Miner's Daughter and Patsy Cline.

Songwriter would be Hank Williams.

Johnny Cash was great.

I also like Hank Williams, he was a true legend. (I am talking about the original Hank Williams not his son, Hank Williams jr, who I think is horrible or his grandson Hank Williams III who is really great)

Lucinda Williams is a great singer.

I like a lot of them. The only one I can't stand is Toby Keith.
