I doubt that Manson's music is actually violence-inspiring. Inspiring some 16 year olds to wear black, act retarded and say "fuck" to their moms, doesn't count as violent behaviour in my book. I also doubt his music was an important factor of school shootings, btw. Anyway, I don't think much of Manson as an artist. Take away his image, and all you have is a weak copy of Trent Reznor. Dull and uninteresting. Good entertainer, but nothing more.

actually most of his lyrics (from what i remember) seem to be about the same type of moods a lot of teens go through when they're rebelling against their realization that the world is not going to turn out like they expected... all the anger and alienation and dissapointment...

saying fuck to your mom isn't just a word it's a juvenille attempt at shaking the structure around you when you still believe that just about everyone is against you and they're all trying to put limits on your life... wearing all black is fine unless it's ridiculously hot outside (then you do look like an idiot)... the acting like a retard part comes into play with the people that mess around with firearms and explosives for kicks... irresponsible drug use and sexual activity... lighting themselves on fire because some other retard did it on tv...

I used to firmly believe that music could not ever convince someone to go out and shoot up a school but my opinions have changed. People act the way that they do because of their surroundings, the way they were brought up , their culture. i don't think these kids did it because of the music, they might have listened to it to get pumped up but not solely because of it.

Manson is an interesting person and his music is satisfactory.

who copies manson? i know i don't.

Portriat was an amazing album... Very good musically... All went downhill from there though

People who dosent like Manson wouldnt know how good of a lyric-writter he is, just like people who dosent like rock n' roll or guitar wouldnt know how good of a guitarist Hendrix is (dont fuckig tell me its different).

People who likes Manson should not be all pissed and pumped up when someone say Manson sux (no offence, Slutmonkey), i bet no more than one-third of the ppl on the planet can write lyrics as good as Manson.

And i donno why people remembers him for Antichrist Superstar, cuz there's alot of greats songs in Holy Wood, and Golden Age of Grotesque.

btw. Manson dosent write in the same mood all the time, listen The Beautiful People, and then listen to mOBSCENE, you'll know the difference.
