i suppose you could call it metal... but it's more of a whacked out industrio-goth-nu-metal thing... basically if you consider stuff like orgy and rob zombie to be metal then manson is metal... if your metal is more like slayer or meshuggah then manson isn't really metal...

and i totally remember the paul from wonder years rumor... i also remember the rumors about the recording method behind the 'fuck frankie' track... and the rib deal...

and lastly... marilyn manson isn't the first nor will they be the last band to recycle black sabbath riffs... at least they're borrowing from a band worthy of borrowing from...

metal is just wht he's labeled as, i think hes more industrial metal on most of his albums, early stuff is even more punk.

It's all about his lyrics. No one writes like him, dont tr to compare Manson with some other death metal rockers, its different.

Holywood and Antichrist Superstar are the best of all his records.

btw, he's a Industrial Goth Rock, his music is but metal.
