Indeed he was. This might be a case of "you had to be there". How many here were alive when Are You Experienced? was released, and remember just how revolutionary a recording it was at the time? I was, and I do. I personally think it was every bit as responsible for reinventing popular music as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, if not just a little more.

I believe you mean he played with a right handed guitar that was strung in reverse order.

he was a lefty, but when he first started playing he didn't have the opinion of a left handed guitar so he learnt on a right handed guitar tht he fliped around so the neck went left rather than right. so he actually played upside down.
