Question Favorite Decade of Jazz

All right, time for a new thread here...if you were to look at a single decade of Jazz as your all-time favorite, which would you choose?

For me, it's obviously the 1960s, so much great Jazz music exploded during that decade that it's really hard to believe, with the advent of Free Jazz, Post-Bop, and Fusion, it was undoubtadly the most creative period for Jazz music. While most of the great artists of the 1960s had been recording prior to this decade, it was during the 1960s that everything seemed to come together for so many musicians, and to this day most of my favorite Jazz recordings come from this era.

And still only 3 people have bothered voting...is the 1960s just the hands-down obvious choice here?

For me it's the mid-1950s to mid-1960s.

But if I have to be pinned down...I'd say the 60s.
