Greatest Blues Guitarist
I'm really surprised that there hasn't been a thread for this yet...but there isn't, so I may as well start one.
Who, in your mind, was/is the greatest/most influential Blues guitarist of all time?
Right now, my personal favorite would be Charles Brown; incredible urban blues guitarist whose technique bordered on Jazz complexity, yet still maintained a solid grounding in the blues. Obviously, country Blues-men also need some mentioning, such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Lighnin' Hopkins, John Lee Hooker, etc... (( and we all know that B.B. King and Albert King will get mentioned before too long ))
...that said, I'm hardly an expert on the Blues, so further discussion on this would be nice.

He...Who Drops Knowledge

This is one of those that I am going to have to think about for a bit. Blind Blake and Robert Johnson would make the cut of potential #1.
While I agree B.B. King is a great Blues musician/guitarist it's hard picking someone that can only play lead.

would it be ignorant to say Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert King, or Buddy Guy?
...or possibly Howlin' Wolf?
