I'm sorry, r&b ain't my thing. When I read it, I thought it could be Outkast because it has about the same lyrics. But I was almost sure it wasn't because the song wasn't out. Maybe someone else can help you.

My initial reaction is it sounds like Q-Tip. Not sure what song it is by him, or possibly A Tribe Called Quest. I'll keep looking...
