If you be down with Braxton's Ghost Trance Music.....

Anthony Braxton 12+1tet's "9 Compositions (Iridium) 2006"

As in 9cds + DVD of live Ghost Trance Music.

It's from last year's 4-day stand at the Iridium and marks the last of his Ghost Trance compositions.

The last? What's he going to do now? I remember you saying he might stop playing saxophone, hope that doesn't happen.

I have no idea what he is calling his latest phase of Compositions. I will believe him giving up playing saxophone only when I see it....and in person.

P.S. It should be mentioned Satchmo was at those Iridium shows with horde members. I believe that you were at a solo concert by Keith Jarrett on one of those nights.

Yeah, I remember, that was when you told me he might stop playing saxophone, which was why he got immediate priority over Jarrett.

He was talking about going into electronics....but it still hasn't happened. However, at least you're living in the one area on the West where he has performed several times.

2Deep Vondell & Mike J are finally giving us what we've been missing with their new Jazz R&B release "SomeBody". This new era of R&B that combines the pure voice of the saxophone and the melodic vocals of R&B brings us back to the old... with songs of love, life and relationships.

Vondell & Mike J are doing it big. With their newly released single, "SomeBody" popping up everywhere...we're all anxiously anticipating their complete album entitled "World Wide" to hit the market this spring.

If you're in the Los Angeles, area you can catch them LIVE at Club 740 March 23rd at 10pm.

Or Check them out anytime online at: www.myspace.com/2Deeponline or

For those interested. Dave Douglas has a week's worth of live performances as mp3 that are downloadable only from his label's site.
