Three excellent and upcoming reissues from Hat hut to keep an eye out for. They're reported to be released, sometime between now and May.

This first one is a must!

Ornette Coleman - Live At Carnegie Hall, 2003

I was at this, with Lady Satchmo and horde. It's going to be DA BOMB! It was considered, one of the best live performances of 2003.

Excellent, excellent. I was hoping there were some recordings by them, that rhythm section was one of the best I've ever seen (admittedly, not many, but a good few).

Evan Parker 'The Topography of the Lungs' (1970)

reissue plus with Derek Bailey & Han Bennink

Evan Parker 'Saxophone Solos' (1975) reissue
Evan Parker 'Hook, Drift & Shuffle' (1983) reissue with George Lewis, Barry Guy & Paul Lytton

Evan Parker Octet 'Crossing the River' (2005) with John Edwards, Agustí Fernández, Marcio Mattos, Neil Metcalfe, John Rangecroft, John Russell & Philipp Wachsmann
Rudi Mahall 'Solo'

As much as Parker and Bailey hated each other, you have to figure, the death of Bailey is the only reason The Topography of the Lungs is being reissued. Dig the plus portion!

This and the Saxophone Solos reissue, surpass the Mingus and Marsh releases, as the reissues of the year.

The first is just a landmark recording, and Saxophone Solos is one of the best solo sax recordings you can find.

YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
