I think that everyone is entitled to like their own kinds of music. Those of you giving everyone shit for listening to songs that are "emo", short for emotional (and theres NOTHING wrong with that) should NOT be in this thread! all i gotta say to those who think listening to emo makes you a lame person is.. up yours. :-P

first of all... I dont think any of the post answers to the tread... and if ou dont like emo... just keep it shut and listen to what you like... cause i dont like what all of you listen to and you dont hear me complaing... why does it have to start a debate everytime anyone says emo?

I just think that complaining about other people taste in music is stupid.. the person who started this tread asked for some help and i think only 3 persons answered.. the rest just complained about emo... look, if you font like it... dont complain about it... live and let live for god's sake! eesh!

Personally i think the whole "emo" thing sucks but i will give credit to the true emo that is out there. There are a few good bands. Most "emo" sucks really really really bad and i think just the word emo sucks. I mean all the people that say shit about "emocore" and "emo" and all that are stupid. The people who wear those fucking patches that say "kiss me i'm emo" or "cheer up emo kid" that shit is stupid and it pisses me off; but it pisses me off when anyone goes around saying "look at me i'm emo and i listen to __________" usually aren't even close to being emo and if they are then they just suck. Same with punk. If you run around with studded belts, shopping at hot topic and listening to simple plan well you fucking suck. i mean its the same with metal, punk, ska,rock, death metal, hardcore...whatever, its people like that that ruin the name of it . People that want to idolize it and make it the cool thing suck.

i totally agree with you. However, i don't try to be emo in any way, i just listen to it because it makes me happy. And yes, people who try to dress or be a certain way because it's the "cool" thing to do SUCK. The Scene is d e a d..over with...non-existent..and nothing gets on my nerves more than a little scene whore who thinks it's cool dye their hair black, wear chucks, or super tight pants. Sorry, not my thing, but i do appreciate the music..more than you care to know.

BUT..i didn't start this thread to have a huge discussion on whether or not people like emo. I simply needed to find a good love song for me and my boyfriend..but i thought i would share my opinion as long as everyone else here is.

Anyways, thanks to those who have actually been some help!
