sure now emo is like you said but if you go back to the roots in 1994 the bands where great! just check the following:

frail, antioch arrow, honeywell, anasarca, julia, downcast, abyss, iconoclast, angel hair and swing kids .... just to name some few ...

this where real emo bands and not that pop bands that are now around ...

I like emo as long as you don't call it emo. Haven't alternative/indie songs always been emotional? Just because the only thing they sing about is love doesn't mean you have to give them their own sub-genre.

I asked that, no one could tell me. Like "if a tree falls in the woods and there is no one to hear it, does it make a sound?"...

How about "For Sure" by Lost Prophets.

What is happening, best love songs that make you cry in the punk forum........I know that EMO has punk roots, but man I think haakon should think about reopening the emo section. I think this sort of discussion takes away some of the credibility that this section has as a punk rock forum.

I don't think this sort of thread will attract many lovers of punk rock to join the forum and post.

the emo section was merged into the punk section tanjello thus all of the threads are here. i dont really mind answering them although i was sorta sarcastic above mainly 1. because i was stoned while writing it and 2. dont really care.

i dont know a lot of emo, i honestly dont care for it too much and couldnt drop a band other than dashboard just because that seems to be everyone's favorite band who happens to be "emo".

If you want an amazing song that will bring you two closer together or make you cry or just make you feel something. This song is for you, not many people know of it and I dont usually share it with people but at the same time I'm doing it over the internet now...ya.

Not emo but 10X better than any song you could ever find.

this the point. indie bands are not emobands. this has nothing to do with the roots of emocore. you will find emo roots in the hardcore movement. this has also nothing to do with a subgenre. its a genre for itself. this days it just become hip and trendy to call every second band a emo band. and these bands do not sing just about love. where the hell you got this information from?
